What is your job and what most excites you about what you do?

Rural Leadership Specialist - see individuals and organizations reach his/her/its capacity and gain efficiency

How diverse is your workplace, or your field of work as a whole? What do you think should be done to support greater diversity and create more inclusive practices in your workplace and in the Agriculture field?

Diversity exists. Each day brings a new work opportunity.

What advice would you give to young women interested in a career in your field?

Spend time with someone in the field. Ask his/her suggestions for training, career development, networks, etc.

What are some of your interests outside of work?

At this stage of family much revolves around children's interests and activities. Golf, swimming, broomball, theatre, travel, etc. could be included on this list.

What are you most hoping you will learn from your mentee? What learning goals do you have for this experience?

With students that I have the privilege to work with, I have always gained new methods of learning, approach and achievement. A personal learning goal would include an opportunity to keep abreast of research and activities at U of M, etc.
