"Be your authentic self. Determine your non-negotiable. Set your priorities and create the balance you need"

Canola Eat Well Director

Manitoba Canola Growers

What is your job (describe it), and what most excites you about what you do?

My job is to have more consumers purchase canola oil, create trust in the farmers who grow it and create opportunities for people to share why they love canola and why celebrate the farmers who grow it.

What advice would you give to young women interested in a career in your field?

Be your authentic self. Determine your non-negotiable. Set your priorities and create the balance you need.

What are some of your interests outside of work?

I love to cook for people and teach them cooking skills that they can do with their families. I am passionate about learning and being inquisitive. I love gardening, being in nature from tent camping to hikes in the woods. I enjoy yoga. I hate squirrels.

What are you most hoping you will learn from your mentee? / What learning goals do you have for this experience?

My learning goals are to be connected to someone who is at the beginning of their career and to watch them soar.
