What is your job and what most excites you about what you do?

Director of Sales -Responsible for seed sales leadership in Canada and the USA for the Falco Seed Brand of Cibus Implement the Canola Management team’s business plan and ensure Cibus products are effectively positioned to optimize market penetration, maximize contribution margin and meet sales targets Currently also a Board of Director for the Canadian Seed Trade Association and actively involved in the CSTA Diversity working group, Stakeholders Relations Working Group and the Western Cereals Oilseeds and Pulses Committee.

How diverse is your workplace, or your field of work as a whole? What do you think should be done to support greater diversity and create more inclusive practices in your workplace and in the Agriculture field?

Agricultural Sales has become more inclusive in the past 10 years and diversity is gaining, we still have gaps at the Senior Management levels. Encouraging women and diversity for opportunities that many individuals may assume they would not be qualified for or even exist within organizations. Encouraging organizations to create exposure for young mentors for all areas of a organization with mixed gender and diversity backgrounds

What advice would you give to young women interested in a career in your field?

Follow your passion, do not let fear of failure get in the way of your path. Create your own personal Brand and continue to build your Brand and equity in your work and the industry throughout your career.

Outdoor Adventures Learning new cooking techniques

What are you most hoping you will learn from your mentee? What learning goals do you have for this experience?

Continuing to learn about challenges that the next generation faces but also to become energized by a new generation of workforces.
