Three Step Application Process
The deadline for the 2018 ICAN-WISE Scholarship has passed. Please stay tuned for the 2019 application deadline.
Your mentor must be a woman who will supervise your summer research project. Mentors must be assistant, associate or full-professors in natural sciences or engineering fields at yours or another participating Prairies university. Examples of eligible fields include (but are not limited to) biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, mathematics, soil science, agronomy, and others.
To select your mentor, you can visit your chosen university’s website and browse through their faculty research pages, or take a look at our profiles of some of the women doing STEM research in the Prairies (please note that your mentor does not need to be one who is featured here – these are only a small subset of the people who may make great mentors). Your mentor can be anyone who fits the above criteria, but you must ensure that the proposed mentor is aware of your application and agrees to the proposed research project.
